Strassburg incunable of the 'Book of Secrets' on the hidden virtues of herbs, stones and animals, with 'De mirabilibus mundi'. A 32-leaf Strassburg printing from about 1479-82 (NLM attributes it to the Printer of the Breviarium Ratisponense, possibly Georg von Speyer) that passed through the hands of the rare-book dealer Wilfrid Voynich; an incunable, a category in which many editions survive in only a few copies. Digitized by the U.S. National Library of Medicine (public domain).
