Etteilla (Jean-Baptiste Alliette, d. 1791)

Manuscript on the interpretation and 'literal reading' of the hieroglyphic meanings of the Book of Thoth (Etteilla's tarot) for oracles, apparently compiled from his 1791 Dictionnaire synonimique du Livre de Thot and Code pratique de la cartomancie egyptienne. Unique manuscript: a handwritten codex held in the Wellcome Library's Western Manuscripts collection, so no second copy of this particular text-witness exists. Digitized by the Wellcome Collection and released under its Public Domain Mark.
