Anonymous ('Gentleman in the Country')

Public domain

A 1726 epistolary pamphlet in which a father warns his student son against the Freemasons and the son answers in the Society's defence, one of the earliest printed English discussions of the Craft after Anderson's Constitutions of 1723. Surviving as a small pamphlet, this scan reproduces the British Library copy.
